Selection Pool
14 days
On campus
No degree required
We don't look at your diploma, CV, or employment history. Every applicant is evaluated the same way — by how they perform in the entrance game and the selection pool.
Completely free
No application fee, no deposit, no tuition. If you're accepted, your training is also free — from the first day until the day you graduate.
Starts with a game
The first stage is a 60-minute logic game — not a test of what you know. It measures how you think. No preparation required. Just show up and play.
Open to ages 18+
There's no upper age limit. Our oldest participant is 63. If you're motivated and can commit 20 hours per week, you're eligible to apply.

We give everyone a fair shot — regardless of background or experience

The selection process finds people who can learn — not people who already know. Half of every cohort arrives without any programming experience. The entrance game tests logic and persistence. The pool tests whether you can keep going when things get hard. That's it.

Common questions

Everything you want to know about applying

Are there age restrictions?

Anyone aged 18 and over can apply to the core program. There is no upper age limit. The Selection Pool can be completed from age 17 with written parental permission.

Do I need to prepare for the entrance game?

No preparation is needed or helpful. The game tests logical thinking and pattern recognition — not programming knowledge. Trying to study for it typically makes no difference. Just show up and play.

How many times can I apply?

Registration with an email address is only possible once. After completing the selection games, you can apply for the selection pool as many times as you need — there is no limit on attempts.

Can I work or study at the same time as the pool?

You can, but it's very difficult. The selection pool is 14 days of intensive, full-time work on campus. We recommend taking time off for those 14 days. Most participants who try to combine it with work or study don't complete the pool successfully.

What does the 14-day pool involve?

7 individual projects, 2 group projects, and 2 exams — all at the campus, using the peer-to-peer methodology you'll use throughout training. It's challenging by design. Those who finish know they can handle the full program.

Is there a fee for applying or for training?

No. The application is completely free. If you're accepted, your training is also free — from the first day until the day you graduate.

Can I change my track after being accepted?

Yes. You choose your preferred track when you apply, but you can change it before training starts. After the pool, the school will help you confirm or adjust your choice based on your performance and interests.

What document do I receive when I graduate?

Graduates receive a non-state certificate of completion from GV Academy. More importantly, you graduate with a portfolio of real projects and an internship record — which is what employers actually look at.

Can citizens of other countries apply?

Yes. Participants of any nationality are welcome. If you need a visa to attend in person, you'll handle that yourself — the school can provide supporting documentation where needed.
